Kathy Valentine has been a working musician and songwriter for over 40 years. Notable achievements in her music career include being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the iconic and trail-blazing band The Go-Go’s, also inducted into the California Hall of Fame in 2025. As a songwriter and musician, Valentine was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame in 2014. She co-wrote the hit singles “Vacation” and “Head Over Heels,” and her song “Can’t Stop the World” was added into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress as a track on the historical Go-Go’s album “Beauty and the Beat.”
Kathy’s acclaimed memoir “All I Ever Wanted: A Rock and Roll Memoir” was published in 2020 and landed on several best non-fiction, memoir, and music book lists, including Oprah’s best celebrity memoirs. In addition to her on-going music and writing pursuits, she graduated college with an English degree in 2022 and has found opportunities as a keynote speaker, spokesperson, and producer. Kathy is a US/UK dual citizen, currently living in London, recording and preparing to launch a new band, Psycher, in 2027.
