The Magnificent are six Los Angeles rock-scene veterans who have previously hidden their secret love for powerhouse rhythm and blues, but now reveal it to the world in a savage, soul-shaking show. Loaded with deep-in-the-crates gems from the mid-Sixties to the early Seventies, the band's songbook features the likes of Eddie Floyd, Janis Joplin, Rex Garvin, and Big Mama Thornton, as well as a number of smoking originals, all played with hard rockin' intensity, while keeping the soul essentials of heart, passion, and hip-shaking rhythms.

With two frenetic front men backed by a four-man wrecking crew and two torso-twisting go-go dancers, the Magnificent are a revue to be reckoned with—a red-hot retro blast of shotgun soul.
