WYLDLIFE
WYLDLIFE is the eight-legged rock 'n' roll melody monster that's been making a misspelled name for themselves for over a decade. Guitarist Sam Allen and vocalist Dave Feldman have spent two-thirds of their lives together writing and recording music- first in middle school, covering punk standards like The Clash and The Ramones to ward off school monotony, and eventually teaming up with like-minded ruffians Spencer Alexander (bass) and Russ Barrnett (drums) to further derail their educations.
The band has since released five albums, with the latest three on Steven Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records. Their 2025 album sorted. was hailed as their catchiest yet, earning them the coveted “Coolest Song in the World” title for the single “Dizzy.” All the while, they've been creating a reputation for one of the most fun and electric live performances in the circuit; no gimmicks, just great songs delivered with the precision of a surgeon's scalpel and with the wit of an elderly barfly. Plus a couple dozen spilt lagers.
Taking cues from a wide palette of heroes, WYLDLIFE draws on the heartfelt lyricism of The Replacements, the anthemic swagger of Oasis, glittery rock n’ roll of the New York Dolls, and the reckless energy of The Dead Boys. Never forget what Petty told 'ya, “Anything that's rock 'n' roll's fine.”
Don't bother stamping on a label, "Is it Powerpop? Is it Punk? Is it Garage?" As the kids say, best to just "f*ck around and find out." You'll be glad you did.
